Privacy

SM Buddy Line Notes is a noncommercial rehearsal tool. It lets a stage manager mark a script, build actor-specific PDF packets, and send selected packets through their own Google account.

What stays on your device

The imported script, show setup, cast names and email addresses, shorthand, and notes are saved in this browser's local storage. The app does not include an account or a shared show database. Exporting a .shownotes file or an actor PDF creates a file on your device that you control.

When you connect Gmail

Google asks for permission to see the connected account's email address and send email from that account. The app checks that address against the sender address in show setup. Its short-lived access token stays in browser memory and is not saved in the show file. You can revoke the app's access in your Google Account settings.

When you send

After you choose recipients and press Send selected, the app creates each actor's marked PDF and submits a separate email to the Gmail API for that actor. Google processes and delivers those messages under the connected account. Other actors' packets are not included in that actor's email. The app records the Gmail message ID and send time in the local show data so you can see what Gmail accepted.

Site hosting

The site host may process standard technical request data needed to serve the app. This prototype has no app analytics or advertising code. Clearing this site's browser storage removes its local copy of a show; keep a .shownotes backup first if you need it.
